Apart from hearing about the pub-quiz-tastic record that the biggest individual motor insurance claim in the UK was made by Rowan Atkinson, we also learned about one of David’s hobby-horses: the crucial difference between public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
While we were all familiar with the idea that a B2B member like James Dickens, who does substantial work on clients’ own premises, needs public liability insurance—in case a member of the public should, for example, slip, fall, and injure herself in an area in which James is working—David’s quiz taught us that a mostly office-based accountant, already covered by professional indemnity insurance for the advice she provides, who regularly invites clients onto her own business premises, like Val Culley, would also require public liability insurance—and for similar reasons.
This kind of expertise is an integral part of the service David offers all his clients and potential clients. And, if you would like to benefit from that kind of attention to detail yourself, get in touch with him to find out more.
